Ms. Rush is a trial attorney who specializes in the defense of high exposure personal injury actions. She has received a Preeminent AV rating of 5.0 / 5.0 from Martindale- Hubbell and has been identified as one of the top personal injury defense attorneys in the Metro New York area by Super Lawyer Magazine and American Legal Media. Ms. Rush has been recognized by the Bar Register of Preeminent Women Lawyers, the New York Times and AVENUE Magazine as one of New York City’s top women lawyers in the area of trial practice. She regularly lecturers and writes articles about important substantive and procedural issues that impact the defense of personal injury litigation.
Ms. Rush has successfully defended public and private entities against bus, truck, auto, railway, construction, premises, elevator, escalator, environmental, security, police and 42 U.S.C. §1983 actions for the last 35 years. She has tried more than 125 jury cases to verdict in New York State.
Ms. Rush is a passionate advocate for greater inclusion in the legal profession. In furtherance thereof she conceived and spearheaded the Brooklyn Legal Pipeline Initiative (BLPI) which kicked off in 2017. This program targets first generation college students who are interested in attending law school. Ms. Rush is also the catalyst behind the Defense Association of New York’s (DANY) award-winning diversity initiative for attorneys in insurance defense firms. The DANY Diversity Program seeks to equip mid-level diverse and female associates with the skills necessary to attain partnership status and build a book of business. This program was recognized by both the New York Law Journal and DRI as the most outstanding state bar diversity initiative of 2015.
