Ms. Hou has significant experience representing insurance carriers and policyholders in multi-million dollar coverage and defense actions. She previously served as in-house counsel in the coverage and defense offices of a large insurance carrier. She is well-versed in litigating policy language contained in CGL, E&O, D&O, commercial property, commercial transportation, and personal policies. She has successfully filed declaratory judgment actions and defended coverage cases involving various exclusions such as business risk, completed operations, expected/intended, breach of contract, sistership, pollution, and owned property. She has issued numerous coverage opinions and ROR letters in jurisdictions nationwide.

Ms. Hou handles cases from inception to trial. She has successfully defended policyholders in negligence, premises liability, dram shop, construction defect, design defect, product liability, employment, environmental contamination, and medical malpractice actions.

She has an M.B.A. in Finance and Management of Information Technology and has extensive experience with Relativity in preparing large-scale document productions.
