Ms. Chadwell is an experienced civil rights litigator with a focus on claims asserted pursuant to 42 U.S.C. 1983. She specializes in cases involving the New York City foster care system, private group homes, daycares, and schools.
While in law school, Ms. Chadwell participated in the Pace Women's Justice Center Family Court Legal Program. Working under a student practice order, she represented survivors of intimate partner violence at ex parte hearings in the White Plains and Yonkers Family Courts. She subsequently obtained her Master of Laws with a thesis on the practical and legal implications of regulating the behavior of pregnant people.
